Cheryl is one of the co-authors of the DRES System Book, The Power of DRES. Her chapter is titled "Timeless - The Art of Ageless Style".

She is a Certified Professional Coach and a Certified DRES System Stylist. Coaching and styling allow her to express her passion for design and style while enabling her to help others. Her philosophy is that both disciplines rely heavily on good listening skills and asking thought-provoking questions, which lead to finding the answers and solutions her clients are seeking.

Cheryl enjoys being a regular contributing writer for Kalön Women digital magazine, where she muses about a variety of topics of interest to women 40 and over, Kalön Women’s target audience. She is particularly interested in the subjects of female life transitions and the reinvention of ones self. (The word kalön is Greek for beautiful.)

A favorite message of Cheryl’s is that true ageless style starts with confidence. When that confidence has eroded for any reason, it reflects in a woman’s external presentation, furthering the erosion of her self-confidence. So it is a circle of the internal reflected in the external and vice versa: a vicious circle that is easy to fall into, but that can be broken with help from your DRES System Certified Personal Stylist.

Prior to her current professional focus, Cheryl’s earlier years were spent as the manager of a women’s career clothing department for Nordstrom. There she learned the fundamentals of professional dressing, tailoring, fashion merchandising, and display. From there, she went on to study the universal principles of design and color theory as part of the interior design program at Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle. Over the years, she has been a small business owner in the fields of landscape design and interior and exterior paint color consulting.
