What happened to business casual at the office?
Sunday, 31 October 2010 16:00
It used to be that companies had one day, usually Fridays, reserved for wearing casual clothes to the office. Lately it seems that every day is business casual. What is worse, the definition of business casual seems to have changed and I did not get the memo.

First, consider the environment you work in. Some are just more formal than others due to the nature of the profession and the types of customers you serve. For example a law office will always be more formal and conservative than a high tech company. Second, no matter the environment, torn, dirty, or frayed clothing is never acceptable. Third, our stylists are available to help you navigate this sometimes confusing maze of what or what not to wear to the office.

I will be doing another blog on this topic with more specific guidelines for both men and women. I think the picture illustrate the problem well.
